IS LUCID DREAMING DANGEROUS?
The big question is: Is Lucid Dreaming Dangerous?
Some people have heard of the big thing called Sleep Paralysis, or maybe you might even be scared of having a lucid nightmare.
Well I'm here to tell you that neither of these problems, is really a problem at all. Ill start with sleep paralysis. Sleep Paralysis is a strange phenomenon in which the dreamer awakes from his/her dream and is unable to move, thus paralyzed. People often times find this encounter scary or unpleasant, while more experienced lucid dreamers deem it as annoying or aggravating. I'm here to tell you that Sleep paralysis should be no problem or in any way hold you back from your desire to induce lucid dreaming.
Sleep paralysis occurs when a natural chemical is secreted into the blood stream when the body enters a deep sleep. What this chemical does, is paralyzes your body so that you don't move and act out your dreams. This works as one of the body's defense mechanisms to keep you from getting hurt in your sleep. The best thing to do if you encounter sleep paralysis is to just be calm. Start by trying to wiggle your toes and fingers until you can slowly move your wrists, ankles, and other parts of your body. All you need o do is be patients and tell your body that you are awake by slowly trying to move and there should be no issues. Sleep paralysis is nothing to be afraid of and there is no danger done to you or your body during the phenomenon.
Another Issue I would like to address is Nightmares. Some people are scared of having nightmares while Lucid. This isn't something bad you guys! I've heard countless stories of people learning how to lucid dream and then their nightmares were gone. Also even If you did happen to have a nightmare while lucid, you can fight back, and you cant die!
So to sum things up: Is Lucid Dreaming Dangerous?
No. In no way, shape, or form does lucid dreaming or sleep paralysis ever have an impact on you, or your body.
Thanks for reading, and remember to dream on!
